My Practice

My classes offer a gentle approach to yoga focusing on breathwork, easeful movement, somatics (meaning our body-mind connection) and meditation. There is no expectation of achieving perfect poses – my practice is more about exploring the mind-body connection in a calm, friendly way, giving you tools to help you manage life’s ups and downs. My aim is to leave you relaxed, calm and equipped with techniques that can be easily practiced in day-to-day life.

About Me

For me, yoga, and all that it encompasses has become a way of life!

My passion for yoga began over a decade ago. At the time I found the postures hard to achieve; I simply couldn’t get my body into the shapes or poses that other people, or the teacher, seemed to find so easy. I felt that I was failing and not achieving what I had preconceived that I should be able to do, so I stopped going.

After a series of injuries that neither I nor the medical profession could shift, I revisited yoga. Through the teachings of a wonderful, kind and nurturing teacher I returned to yoga with a different mindset and loved it. I learnt that everyone’s bodies are different, unique and move in different ways – I accepted that I couldn’t achieve everything perfectly. But, as long as it felt good in my body, that was ok. Physically, mentally and spiritually all aspects of my life changed; the transformation gave me a renewed sense of purpose and passion to help others, so I studied to become a practitioner myself in order to share all the wonderful benefits that I continue to enjoy.

Kirsty is an amazing teacher. She makes you feel completely at ease and allows you to do your practice at your own pace. She has taught me how to begin my meditation journey. I really look forward to her classes each week, for me it’s my best nights sleep of the week.

‘Kirsty’s Yoga classes have been a revelation. I think lots of people are familiar with traditional Yoga poses, but Kirsty brings so much more to the class. Every week I learn something new about the Yoga tradition, breathing techniques and energy flow - it is always incredibly interesting. Kirsty also does a Yoga Nidra session which is the most relaxed I have ever been awake! She has an incredibly calming voice (great for anyone who experiences asmr) and leads you through techniques that leave you feeling wonderful. Not to be missed!’
– Corinne

If anyone is new to yoga and thinking of giving it a go, I cannot recommend Kirsty enough. Thank you, Kirsty, you are a wonderful teacher
